Chris Smith

Chris Smith is an experienced procurement and supply chain professional with a comprehensive background in category management and strategic sourcing. Currently serving as Head of P&C - Customer & Corporate and Lead Category Manager at SSE plc since May 2017, Chris leads a team focused on procurement across various sectors. Prior experience includes a role as Lead Supply Chain Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland, overseeing end-to-end supply chain activities, and a position as Sourcing Group Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland Group, managing global sourcing. Additional roles include Director at Universal Procurement Ltd, Head of Supply Chain at Carillion, and various positions at Scottish and Newcastle and Scottish Water. Chris holds an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Aberdeen and an MCIPS in Purchasing and Supply from the Civil Service College.
