Guy Batey

Guy Batey is a technology and management professional with extensive experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Cloud at SSE plc since September 2022, Guy previously held multiple leadership roles at Nomura from October 2008 to August 2022, including Global Head of Cloud Platform Engineering and EMEA Head of Infrastructure Engineering. Earlier positions include Senior Engineer at Lehman Brothers and Senior DB2 DBA at ACE, as well as IT Specialist at IBM. Guy Batey earned a BSc in Technology and Management from the University of Bradford between 1998 and 2002.
