Jim Walker

Jim Walker is an experienced resourcing professional currently serving as the Resourcing Manager for Distribution, Thermal and Renewables at SSE plc since April 2020. Previously, Jim held the position of Recruitment Lead/Advisor at Tullow Oil from January 2013 to March 2020, where responsibilities included leading operational recruitment for various international locations. Prior to that role, Jim worked as a Senior Consultant at Taylor Hopkinson Associates, specializing in recruitment for renewable energy, and as a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Brunel International, focusing on engineering and technical personnel in the oil, gas, and renewables sectors. Jim began a career in recruitment after serving as a Sales Consultant at British Gas/Centrica. Jim holds a degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, obtained in 2004.
