Vítor Soares

Vítor Soares is currently the Head of Organisational Resilience at SSE, leveraging extensive expertise in the electricity sector. Previously, Vítor held roles such as Electricity System Restoration Manager and Black Start Engineer at National Grid ESO, where they developed critical restoration plans and assurance frameworks. Prior to this, Vítor worked at SSE plc as a Subject Matter Expert and at High Voltage Partial Discharge, Ltd. as a Test & Development Engineer. Vítor earned an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, complemented by additional training in international business and Lean methodologies.
