Andy Jacobs

Andy Jacobs is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Hydro Operations Environment Manager and Lead Environmental Advisor at SSE Renewables since November 2017, where leadership of a team of Environmental Advisors and management of environmental performance across various sites in the UK and Ireland is key. Prior to this role, Andy worked as an Environmental Advisor and a Hydro Plant Attendant at SSE plc from January 2012 to November 2017, contributing to compliance within the company's operational fleet. Additional experience includes roles as Lead Fencer, Duty Manager, Groundworker/Machine Operator, and Lead Bartender, along with foundational work in environmental services. Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management and Planning from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Higher National Diploma in Planning and General Practice Surveying from City of Glasgow College.
