Jacques Jonker

Jacques Jonker is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Power Station Manager at SSE Thermal since June 2022. Prior to this role, Jacques worked at SSE plc from October 2006 to June 2022, holding various positions including Operations and Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Process Engineering Team Leader, Commissioning Manager, Outage Manager, and Shift Group Leader. Earlier in Jacques's career, experience was gained at Eskom from August 2002 to September 2006 as Unit Production Manager, Shift Manager, and Power Plant Manager. Jacques holds a Management Development Program degree from the University of Pretoria and has a background in education from Newcastle Technical College.
