Olivia Ryan

Olivia Ryan is currently serving as a Policy Advisor at SSE Thermal since February 2024. Prior to this role, Olivia held various positions at Connect Group from April 2022 to February 2024, including Account Director, Senior Account Manager, and Account Manager. Olivia also worked as a Senior Account Executive at Atalanta between October 2020 and April 2022, and performed as a Research Manager on a contract basis at the British Council from January 2020 to October 2020. Previous experience includes reporting as a General News Reporter for Caixin Global, serving as a Research Assistant at The New York Times, and interning at China Politics Weekly, the US Embassy in Beijing, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Olivia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Combined Honours in International Relations and Mandarin from Durham University and has further language study credentials from Qingdao University.
