Zac Smith

Zac Smith is a seasoned civil engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple firms. Currently serving as the Civil Practice Group Lead and Civil Department Manager at SSOE Group since November 2020, Zac has successfully led multi-national teams, achieving significant expansions in workforce and department revenue, while adopting innovative tools to enhance project execution. Prior to this role, Zac spent nearly a decade at KBR, Inc., where responsibilities included managing civil, structural, and architectural departments, as well as overseeing project management for major industrial projects. Additional experience includes project management at LBYD, Inc. and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., focusing on commercial and industrial projects. Zac holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Alabama.
