Rex Brommecker

Rex Brommecker is an accomplished geoscientist with extensive experience in exploration and geology, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Exploration and Geology at SSR Mining Inc. since November 2022. Prior roles include General Manager of Exploration at Evolution Mining, Managing Director at Ore Genesis Pty Ltd, and Senior Vice President of Greenfields Exploration at AngloGold Ashanti. Rex has held various chief geologist positions at Barrick Gold Corporation and has a solid background in leadership and project management at WMC Resources. An early career included roles in geological assistance and junior geologist positions with notable firms. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Queen's University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo.
