St. Clare’s Housing is a social justice landlord and developer working in active partnerships to create sustainable, safe, and affordable housing solutions.

As one of Canada’s largest private, non-profit developers of new affordable housing with supports, St. Clare’s Housing has enhanced neighbourhoods across Toronto’s downtown core. Our tenants represent a cross-section of the city’s racial, ability, gender, ethnic, and class diversity. Most tenants pay a rent geared to their income; others pay market rent for their apartments.

Our experience has shown that healthy communities and healthy tenancies reinforce one another. Together, our tenants, staff, and Partner Agencies engage in St. Clare’s Housing’s “community first” model. In partnership, we work together to reduce homelessness in ways that are scalable, replicable, and enduring.
