William Bates

William Bates is an experienced professional currently serving as an Elected Parish Councillor for the Billinge Chapel End Parish Council since May 2022. With a strong focus on Rugby League, William Bates has held prominent roles as a Statistician and Researcher for both the Rugby League Record Keepers Club and the Rugby League Project since 2020 and 2008, respectively, where historical UK Rugby League statistics are provided. In addition, William Bates is a founding member and Historian for the Saints Heritage Society, actively involved in preserving the history of St Helens Rugby Club. Previous experience includes various customer service roles with UK Civil Service, Wirral Council, and Knowsley Council, as well as a significant tenure with Liverpool City Council in multiple capacities. William Bates holds educational qualifications from the University of Chester and St Helens College, among others.
