Philippe Roche

Philippe Roche currently serves as the Head of Technology Exploration and Ecosystems and Company Fellow in Radiation at STMicroelectronics France since January 2021. Responsibilities include leading technology explorations in advanced semiconductor technologies, such as 3D chiplets and ultra-wide band gap materials. Philippe Roche’s career at STMicroelectronics began in 1999, with notable roles including Company Fellow in Radiation and R&D Director for High Reliability, recognized for significant contributions to radiation effects on semiconductor devices, particularly for space applications. Additionally, positions held include Regional Fellow, managing R&D teams, and Senior Expert in Radiation-Hardening. Prior experience includes engineering at CEA's Military Applications Division. Philippe Roche holds a Ph.D. in Radiation Effects on ICs from Vanderbilt University and a summa cum laude Ph.D. from the University of Montpellier, along with a Master of Science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
