Salman Khan

Salman Khan is a Senior Software Developer at STMicroelectronics since April 2014, focusing on the design, development, and debugging of L1 Control and PHY layers for 3GPP narrowband (NB-IoT) and machine type communication (MTC) wireless systems. Prior to this role, Salman was an Embedded Software Developer at Research In Motion from September 2008 to March 2014, where responsibilities included the design, development, and debugging of the LTE L1/PHY Control Layer for 3GPP wireless communication systems. Earlier experience includes a position as an L1 DSP Firmware Developer at RIM from June 2007 to June 2008. Salman Khan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in System Design Engineering (Computational Neuroscience) from the University of Waterloo, obtained between September 2014 and February 2022, and a Master's degree in Wireless Communications from The University of British Columbia, earned from 2002 to 2005.
