Michael Csar

Michael Csar is the Künstlerischer Betriebsdirektor and Orchesterdirektor at Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, overseeing artistic planning and the Staatskapelle Berlin. Previously, they served as artistic producer and deputy artistic director at Bregenzer Festspiele and as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. With extensive experience as a stage director and production manager across renowned international venues, Michael has collaborated with many prominent directors. They hold an MFA in Performing Arts Management and Producing from Columbia University and an MMag in English and Theatre from Universität Wien. Currently, they are also participating in an ERASMUS exchange at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
