Max Lapin

Max Lapin is a researcher at Stability AI since November 2023, focusing on generative models for images and video. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Applied Scientist in Computer Vision at Amazon from March 2017 to May 2023, where Max delivered advanced machine learning models for Amazon's Retail, Search, and Robotics sectors. Earlier, Max held the position of Applied Scientist, also in Computer Vision at Amazon, leading the development and deployment of machine learning solutions. Max's career began as a Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics from March 2012 to February 2017, conducting research in multiclass and multilabel image classification and teaching machine learning courses. Max holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and an M.Sc. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from Universität des Saarlandes.
