Michael Hall has worked in the software engineering industry since 1995. Michael began their career at Centigram as a Software Tools Development Engineer. Michael then moved to Novellus Systems and Hewlett-Packard, where they worked as a Software Design Engineer. In 2009, they joined D&K Engineering as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed software for electro-mechanical systems and embedded systems using ANSI C and C++ with threadX RTOS. In 2014, they began working as a freelance Senior Software Engineer for Pacific Coast Software Development Inc., where they worked on medical diagnostic instruments. In 2017, they joined Morris Cerullo World Evangelism as a Software Engineering Manager and Sr. Software Engineer, where they helped with prototyping IoT and backend servers for web based applications. Finally, in 2021, they joined Target RWE Health Evidence Solutions as a Sr. Software Engineer in the Applications Architecture group, where they designed and implemented API servers in a microservices architecture. In 2022, they began working as a Software Architect for Stable Kernel.

Michael Hall attended Santa Clara University from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Soquel High from 1983 to 1987.
