Stack Architecture is a full-service, MBE architecture firm based in Boston with offices in Buenos Aires. We design and deliver multifamily and mixed-use residential projects across scales, from small urban infill to large-scale affordable, mixed-income, and market-rate housing throughout New England.

Our principals bring direct experience as housing developers, not just designers of housing. We understand pro formas, financing structures, and the friction points that stall or kill projects, especially ambitious ones, because we've navigated them ourselves. When we sit across from a developer, we're not learning their language. We speak it.

This is why we've built an integrated process that brings design, cost estimating, and financial modeling together from the first sketch. Through a longstanding collaboration with our construction partners, we maintain a conceptual cost estimating tool updated with real project data from recently completed buildings. Our conceptual estimates have consistently tracked within two to five percent of final construction costs.

We bring two decades of leadership in high-performance, sustainable design, including Passive House, net-zero, and resilient building and planning strategies. For us, sustainability is not an add-on. It's a variable in the design equation that improves the long-term performance of a building, as well as a stronger bottom line.

Our eight-person team combines strong design instincts with deep technical capability. We develop custom digital tools, leverage GIS and digital performance modeling, and produce high-end rendering entirely in-house. A lean team that delivers the quality and responsiveness.

We offer flexible engagement structures, including fee deferral and equity partnerships, because we know first-hand the friction points that keep good projects from getting started.

Development for what matters: housing, climate, health, community.
