Dan Whitacre has had a long and varied career in software engineering. Dan began their career in 2013 as a Produce Clerk at Kroger. In 2014, they began working as a Software Engineering Intern at Cerner Corporation, where they developed software on an agile development team and maintained and added new enhancements to existing health care software solutions. That same year, they returned to Kroger as a Produce Clerk. In 2015, they worked as a Hardlines/Consumables Team Member at Target and as a Software Engineering Intern at Cerner Corporation, where they developed new and innovative health care applications for use within the company. In 2016, they began working at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer, where they were the technological expert and lead for the aaS solution for the core integration software within the Cloud Pak for Integration. Dan also designed and developed the GitOps solution built on Openshift. In 2021, Dan Whitacre joined STACK Construction Technologies as a Software Engineering Manager, where they are leading the system design, architecture, and development for a new product offering in the STACK platform. Dan is also building and managing a team of 10+ engineers and contractors ranging from junior to senior/technical lead level to progressively deliver high value features. Dan is heavily involved with leadership and product owners in design, planning, and forecasting the delivery of the new product offering.
Dan Whitacre graduated from The Ohio State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering.
