Alan Smart

Alan Smart is an experienced engineering and solutions professional, currently serving as the Director of Solutions Engineering at STACK Infrastructure since July 2022. Prior experience includes roles such as Director of Solutions Engineering and Senior Sales Engineer at Digital Realty from February 2014 to July 2022, Program Manager at SAIC from October 2003 to February 2014, and Director of Engineering Services at AboveNet from December 1998 to October 2003. Alan began a career in engineering as a Project Manager at Silicon Valley Group from May 1990 to December 1998 and held an engineering position at Perkin-Elmer from January 1986 to May 1990. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business and multiple BSME degrees in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
