Matthew Shields is the Vice President of Finance at Stack Infrastructure. Matthew has over a decade of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate development, capital planning, and cash forecasting.

Shields began their career as a Manager of FP&A at Flexential. Matthew was quickly promoted to Sr. Director of Finance due to their exceptional work in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning. As Sr. Director of Finance, Shields was responsible for the end-to-end budget process, planning and execution of a $1 billion capital and construction plan, and recapitalizing the company's debt structure. Matthew also forecasted and planned cash requirements to support $300 million in annual operating and capital expenditures.

In 2011, Shields was promoted to Vice President FP&A. In this role, they led the finance organization and was responsible for all financial planning and analysis efforts, corporate development initiatives, capital planning, and cash forecasting. Matthew successfully executed three acquisitions and was the final contender in one lost acquisition.

Shields has been with Stack Infrastructure since July of 2022 and currently serves as the VP of Finance. In this role, they are responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cash management.

Matthew Shields attended Arizona State University and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Global Business/Finance. Matthew then attended the University of Colorado Denver and obtained a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Finance in May 2009.
