Vivian Li is currently the Manager of Business Intelligence at StackAdapt. Prior to this, they worked as an Actuarial Insights Analyst at The Co-operators from October 2019 to June 2021. There, they were responsible for unguided data exploration and investigating profitability concerns using regression, clustering, and classification algorithms in R. Vivian also created reports to monitor the impact of rate changes across all product lines and presented actionable findings to team leaders. Vivian wrote SAS programs to manipulate data required for projects aimed at improving the organization’s profitability and improved efficiency for report validations and created documentation to track new processes.
Before working at The Co-operators, Vivian was a Data Management Analyst at RBC from May 2019 to September 2019. There they supported AML analytics team to enhance data governance in an Agile environment. Vivian also assessed and enhanced utilization of data across RBC for AML purposes, performed data profiling and exploratory data analysis, identified and evaluated data elements required for AML purposes, and created documentation for data lineage and data mapping.
Prior to their work at RBC, Vivian was an Actuarial Associate - New Business Pricing at Munich Re Canada from August 2017 to May 2019.
Vivian Li has a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Analysis and Risk Management from the University of Waterloo, with a Statistics Minor. Vivian Li also has a Masters of Science in Data Science and Analytics from Ryerson University.
Vivian Li also holds an Honours Commerce degree from Marianopolis College. Vivian Li is certified from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in ACIA and is also certified from the Society of Actuaries in ASA.
