Yongda Fan is a data engineer who currently works at StackAdapt. Before working at Manulife, Yongda was an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Waterloo from January 2020 to April 2020, where they researched the high-throughput architecture design of distributed message-oriented middleware. Yongda also proposed the designs of data persistent mechanism and streaming processor for a distributed message-oriented middleware that is compatible with remote direct memory access.

Yongda started their career as a software developer at YuJa in May 2019 and worked there until August 2019. Before that, they were an undergraduate research assistant at the Faculty of Engineering at Western University from November 2018 to April 2019.

Yongda Fan has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Their minors are in Computational Mathematics and Combinatorics and Optimization. Yongda also has certification from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization, Machine Learning, IBM Data Science, and Programming with Google Go Specialization.

Their manager is Yang Han, CTO. They are on a team with Timur Borkhodoev - Senior Software Engineer, Ned Dimitrov - VP, Data Science, and Ashley Majzels - Senior Technical Solutions Specialist.
