Doug Balog

Doug Balog is a Senior Data Engineer at Target, where they work on advanced machine learning pipelines and have successfully integrated Apache Spark into the company's infrastructure. They previously held roles at various technology companies, including Principal Software Engineer at Terra Lycos, Inc, where they contributed to the development of the Internet's first images and sounds index. Doug also served as an Advanced Data Systems Specialist at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and has experience in implementing cloud-based solutions at kWantera. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh.
