Nicholas Tate

Nicholas Tate is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Stack AV since May 2023. Previously, Nicholas played a pivotal role at DigitalOcean from October 2019 to May 2023, where responsibilities included leading initiatives to enhance developer tooling as a Senior Software Engineer II in Architecture and acting as a co-tech lead for the App Platform, guiding its development and user experience. Notable achievements at DigitalOcean involved launching a PaaS solution and improving Kubernetes offerings. Prior to DigitalOcean, Nicholas held various positions at Containership, where as VP of Engineering, oversight of a team and guidance on the design of the Containership Cloud Platform occurred. Additional experience includes roles at Branding Brand, U.S. Steel, and the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on mobile applications and data analytics. Nicholas holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, earned in 2012.
