Tim Penhey has worked in the software engineering industry since 1995. Tim began their career as a Software Developer at Sapphire Technology. In 2001, they became a Contractor at Lehman Brothers. In 2004, they were a Contractor at Royal Bank of Scotland, working on the Global Derivatives System. Tim also owned ScoreFirst Limited in 2004. In 2005, they were a Contractor at Barclays Capital. In 2006, they were a CVu Editor at ACCU and a Contractor at Royal Bank of Scotland, working on the CMS for the intranet. Tim also joined Canonical Ltd. as a Software Engineer, where they eventually became Engineering Director (Juju), Engineering Manager, Code Craft Ninja, and Team Lead. In 2020, they began working as a Staff Engineer at Stacklet.
Tim Penhey completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science at the University of Otago from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended Logan Park High School from 1986 to 1990.
