Craig McLuckie has extensive experience in the technology industry, particularly in the field of cloud native computing. Craig is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of stacklok, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of a Stealth Startup from March to May 2023. From November 2022 to May 2023, McLuckie worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Accel. Craig also has experience as a Stay-at-Home Dad from July to November 2022. Before their entrepreneurial ventures, McLuckie held leadership roles at VMware as the Vice President R&D from December 2018 to November 2022, and at Heptio as the Founder and CEO from November 2016 to December 2018, until it was acquired by VMware. McLuckie's earlier experience includes positions at Google as a Group Product Manager from May 2013 to October 2016 and as a Lead Product Manager from November 2010 to November 2012. Craig also worked at Microsoft as a Lead Program Manager from November 2012 to May 2013 and at Bridgewater Associates as a Portfolio Architect from March 2008 to March 2009. Throughout their career, McLuckie has demonstrated their expertise in cloud native technologies and has played a key role in the development and adoption of Kubernetes.
Craig McLuckie attended the University of Cape Town from 1991 to 1999, where they obtained their Masters of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
