Frank Van Lankvelt has over 20 years of experience in the data engineering field. Frank began their career as a PhD student at Universiteit van Amsterdam in 1999, followed by a Junior Research Associate position at Brookhaven National Laboratory in 2004. In the same year, they became a Postdoc at the University of Oxford. In 2005, they worked as a Software Engineer at Sophos Plc. From 2007 to 2015, they held various roles at Hippo, including Data Team Tech Lead and R&D Developer. Frank then moved to Webpower (marketing automation) as a Senior Big Data Engineer/Architect. In 2016, they joined wehkamp as a Data Engineer/Scientist. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as Lead Engineer (Data) at Royal FloraHolland, creating data pipelines and data products for growers, buyers and RFH internal use. Frank currently holds the role of Data Engineer at both StackState and Xebia.
Frank Van Lankvelt received their Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Amsterdam in 2004, after having completed their M.Sc. in Physics from Utrecht University in 1999. In 2016, they obtained a certificate in Statistical Inference from Coursera Course Certificates.
