Simon Ruys

Simon Ruys is a Network and Security Engineer at Stad Hasselt since September 2021, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and security of the network environment. Prior to this role, Simon served as a System Engineer Network and Security at Cegeka from March 2016 to September 2021, where responsibilities included installing and troubleshooting networks, focusing on Fortinet and Checkpoint products. Simon's career began at Scarlet Belgium, progressing from Firstline Technical Support to Secondline Support Engineer, managing Cisco router configurations and DNS zone files. Simon holds a Graduaat degree in ICT and Telecommunications from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven, attained between 2013 and 2016.
