With Stadtflucht, founders Elke Bokelmann and Olaf Minkus bring their vision of the future of sustainable living and working to life: since its founding in 2022, two climate-positive penthouses and a loft for temporary living have been created on an industrial building dating from 1905 using sustainable, resource-conserving construction methods, whose architecture and interiors inevitably focus guests on the essentials. Upcycling, recycling, preserving biodiverse living spaces and the application of traditional techniques, paired with minimalist and carefully curated vintage furniture and regional, ecological materials and products determine the character of these light-flooded refuges and thus lay the foundation for a sustainable philosophy for future hideaways from Stadtflucht.
