Anoek Baars

Anoek Baars currently serves as the Global Legal Director for Compliance & Regulatory at Staffbase, a position held since November 2019, while also previously fulfilling the role of Senior Global Product & Privacy Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as a Committee Member for NVvIR Jong from January 2018 to June 2020, focusing on the intersection of technology and law. At Catawiki, from June 2016 to November 2019, Anoek was the first legal counsel responsible for establishing dispute procedures and enhancing consumer protection. Additional professional experience includes legal counsel roles at Weagree and paralegal and intern positions at prestigious firms such as Allen & Overy, Baker & McKenzie, and Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Academic qualifications include Master's Degrees in European Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam and in Intellectual Communication and Technology Law from the University of Oslo, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam.
