Deane Barker

Deane Barker is an experienced professional in content management and digital strategy, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Engagement at Staffbase since January 2025, focusing on bridging the gap between customers and product teams. Previously, Barker held the position of Vice-President of Digital Experience Consulting at Valtech, providing strategy consulting and contributing to thought leadership. From January 2016 to January 2025, Barker taught content management courses at FH Joanneum. As Global Director of Content Management at Optimizely from August 2019 to July 2024, Barker influenced product strategy and market positioning for the Orchestrate product line. Co-founding Blend Interactive in March 2005, Barker transitioned from development to industry analysis and consulting. Early career experience includes serving as Information Systems Director at NAI Sioux Falls Commercial and Intranet Development Manager at BANKFIRST.
