Raphael Gang has extensive work experience in the education sector. Raphael currently works as the Director of K12 Education at Stand Together since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Educational Consultant, supporting organizations in developing systems and processes to enhance their impact. Raphael has worked with major foundations, state Departments of Education, and various education startups. From 2021 to 2022, they served as a National Partner at Wildflower Schools, a network of Montessori micro-schools. At 4.0, they held multiple roles, including Chief External Relations Officer, Director of Ecosystem Development, Director of Pathways, and Director of Outreach, from 2014 to 2021. Before that, they worked as the Chief of Staff at Democracy Prep Public Schools in 2013. Raphael also held leadership positions at the Louisiana Department of Education, including Executive Director of Planning and Strategy and Chief of Staff from 2010 to 2013. Raphael began their career as a Research Assistant at the American Enterprise Institute in 2009 and as a K-12 Associate at the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation in 2008. Raphael started their career as an Elementary School Teacher through Teach For America from 2006 to 2008.
Raphael Gang began their education journey in 2002 at Beloit College. Raphael successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2006. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they enrolled from 2006 to 2008. During this period, they obtained a Master's degree in Education.
