Rob Raffety has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Rob started their career as the Legislative Director for Shelley Moore Capito in 2001. Rob then worked as a Program Manager for the Mercatus Center at George Mason University from 2002 to 2005. After that, they served as an Attorney for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission from 2005 to 2009. Rob returned to the Mercatus Center in 2009 and held multiple roles including Associate Director for Policy Research and Senior Director of Policy Research Operations. In 2017, they joined the Charles Koch Institute as the Director of Research and later became the Director of Research at Stand Together in 2020. Currently, they are the Director of Internal Communications at Stand Together since August 2021. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in communications, research, and policy.
Rob Raffety pursued their higher education starting from 1993 to 1997 at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where they completed their undergraduate studies. The specific degree and field of study for this period are unknown. Following that, they attended Syracuse University College of Law between 1997 and 2000, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) in Law. From 1998 to 2000, they also attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School, where they obtained a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) in the field of Public Administration. Most recently, from 2020 to 2023, Rob attended Point Park University, where they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Screenwriting and Playwriting.
