Ty Spells

Ty Spells has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Beginning in 2007, Spells worked as a Facilitator at Envision Experience, where they implemented educational curricula and supervised conference participants. From 2009 to 2012, Spells held multiple roles with AmeriCorps VISTA, including serving as a Communities In Schools VISTA Leader and FSU Southeast PeaceJam Service Learning Associate, where they built capacity for youth programs and trained volunteers.

In 2011, Spells became the Director of Programs at the Lila Foundation, overseeing program excellence, fundraising, and relationship-building in new markets. At Florida State University, Spells served as the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) Summer Bridge Coordinator, planning and implementing the Summer Bridge experience for first-generation college students.

From 2014 to 2015, Spells was a Program Manager at Leading Educators, where they managed strategic initiatives, built relationships with educational leaders, and analyzed program performance. Spells then joined Envision Experience as a Project Coordinator and later as a Program Manager, developing program content, managing logistics, and engaging in client management.

Starting in 2017, Spells worked as a Senior Relationship Manager at UNCF, overseeing fellowship activities and program development. Spells then joined the Stand Together Foundation in 2018, where they served as a Program Manager, Partnership Development Manager, and Sr. Strategist, Partnership Activation. In these roles, Spells focused on strategic partnership development, brand messaging, stakeholder engagement, and program management.

Currently, Spells holds the position of Director, Content Strategy at Stand Together, a role they started in 2023. Overall, Spells' work experience demonstrates a strong background in program management, strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

Ty Spells has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, Ty has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, specializing in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management, from the University of Baltimore.
