Evan Beard

Evan Beard has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as the Founder & CEO of Standard Bots, a robotics company focused on designing and selling a six-axis robotic arm. Evan co-founded A Plus, a technology-based media company, where they served as the CEO and grew the business to a team of 30 employees with over $5 million in annual revenue before selling it in 2016. Evan co-founded Gridtech and Etacts Inc. as well. Additionally, Evan worked at Salesforce as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, Software Engineering, where they played a key role in building Salesforce social integrations and later transferred to the HBase team. Lastly, they founded Wilshire Shaw Inc. prior to their other ventures.

Evan Beard completed their undergraduate education at Duke University, where they earned a B.S. with Distinction in Economics. During their time at Duke, they also pursued studies in Computer Science. In 2007, Evan briefly attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), focusing on Entrepreneurship. In 2008, they further expanded their knowledge in Computer Science by attending the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
