Daniel McCarron has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the real estate industry. Daniel currently holds the position of Vice President of Stabilized Asset Management at Standard Communities since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief of Staff at the same company from November 2022 to June 2023.
Before joining Standard Communities, Daniel worked as the Director of Portfolio Management at Urban Atlantic for one year from November 2021 to December 2022. Daniel also served as an Asset Manager at Akelius Residential Property AB, a Swedish-based real estate firm, from November 2018 to November 2021, where they managed residential properties in New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C.
Daniel's career began with positions at Gateway Investment Partners, starting as a Senior Associate in June 2015 and ending in October 2018. Daniel was responsible for asset management, investment analysis, and financial modeling for commercial assets.
Daniel also gained experience as an Analyst at Friedman Capital, an Intern at CBRE, and an Intern at the Office of the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development.
Before transitioning to the real estate industry, Daniel's earlier work experience includes teaching high school math at The Bullis School from September 2008 to June 2013, teaching English as a Foreign Language at Colegio Saint George's from September 2007 to December 2008, and teaching high school math at Seton Academy from September 2005 to June 2007.
Daniel McCarron completed their Bachelor of Civil Engineering at The Catholic University of America from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Valparaiso University between 2005 and 2007. In 2007 and 2008, Daniel completed a program in English Second Language at the University of Notre Dame. Subsequently, they furthered their education in business, earning an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, in February 2015, Daniel McCarron obtained the LEED Green Associate certification from the US Green Building Council.
