Ryan Olson is an experienced journalist and editor with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Print Administrator at the Standard-Examiner since May 2019, Ryan covers government and lifestyle issues in Butte County and Oroville, while managing social media interactions. Previous roles include Night/Weekend Editor at The Daily Herald and Staff Writer positions at Chico Enterprise-Record and The Daily Mining Gazette, where Ryan reported on breaking news and various community topics. Additionally, Ryan has technical writing experience from SMART Marketing Technologies and editorial skills from early work as Co-News Editor at The UCSD Guardian. Ryan holds a B.A. in Communication from UC San Diego.
