Bassem El-Khodor

Bassem El-Khodor has a diverse work experience in the field of neuroscience and research. Bassem has held various roles in different companies and academic institutions. In their most recent position as the Director of Discovery Science and Innovation at Standard Process Inc., they have been responsible for leading the company's scientific research and development efforts. Prior to that, they worked at Metagenics as a Therapeutic Platform Lead for CNS/Cognition. Bassem has also taught as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. In addition, they have worked at Pfizer as a Senior Research Scientist in the field of neuroscience, where they developed and executed research programs related to brain development and nutrition. Before joining Pfizer, they held positions at PsychoGenics Inc. as an Associate Research Fellow and a Senior Principal Research Scientist, where they managed preclinical R&D and conducted efficacy studies in animal models of neurological diseases. Bassem has also worked as a Scientist at the NYS Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cincinnati and Columbia University.

Bassem El-Khodor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the American University of Beirut from 1987 to 1991. Bassem then pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Neurological Sciences from McGill University from 1994 to 2000.
