Weston Bussler

Weston Bussler is a seasoned professional in the field of nutrition science with a strong background in product development and research. Currently serving as Product Development Manager at Standard Process Inc. since April 2018, Bussler focuses on the development of farm ingredients, children's products, and digestive health solutions. Previously, Bussler was a Nutrition Scientist and PhD Research Assistant at North Carolina State University from June 2013 to September 2022, where the dissertation focused on uncovering novel loci in crop genomes to enhance health benefits. Additionally, Bussler managed the Plant Pathways Elucidation Program at the Plants for Human Health Institute, collaborating with companies like Dole and General Mills to investigate plant compounds and their effects on human health, specifically in oats and broccoli. Early research experience includes a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where Bussler explored bioactive compounds in wild perennial plants.
