Steven Smith

Steven Smith is an accomplished tooling designer with extensive experience in the aerospace and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Tooling Designer at StandardAero since September 2019, Steven is responsible for designing tooling for aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul, utilizing 3D modeling to communicate design intent. Previously, as a Manufacturing Engineer at R&R Tool, Inc., from April 2018 to September 2019, Steven improved manufacturing processes for high precision metal components in the medical device industry. Additionally, Steven worked as a Mechanical Designer at MTSI from January 2014 to April 2018, where expertise in Autodesk Inventor was applied to create complex 3D models and 2D blueprints for manufacturing. Steven holds an Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting Design from ITT Technical Institute-Norwood and completed studies at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in 2001.
