Anna Maxymiw

Anna Maxymiw is a skilled copyeditor and writer with diverse experience in the editorial field. Currently at Standard BioTools since January 2022, Anna reviews and edits a variety of technical and marketing documents, ensuring high-quality standards across all communication. Prior to this, Anna served as a proofreader at Precedent Magazine, focusing on quality control, and spent nearly nine years at The Canadian Press in various roles, including team lead and copyeditor, where Anna managed editorial production and led a team of editors. Additional experience includes a copyediting role at The Globe and Mail, an internship at the Descant Arts & Letters Foundation, and teaching assistance at The University of British Columbia. Anna holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The University of British Columbia and a B.A. in Psychology from Queen's University.
