Sam Lim

Sam Lim, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Data Science at Standard BioTools since March 2018. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre under the supervision of Brian Wilson, where research focused on the application of ultrasound and photoacoustic techniques for the diagnosis of esophageal cancer from March 2014 to December 2017. Additionally, Sam Lim worked as a Research Engineer in the Biomedical Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin, from August 2007 to February 2014, where responsibilities involved designing, constructing, optimizing, and characterizing clinical and laboratory imaging systems. An early career position as an Applications Intern at Cirrus Logic involved programming GUI software for power meter chips and characterizing their performance in September to December 2004. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
