Mark Ebeling is an experienced technology leader, currently serving as Principal Architect for the Australia Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) CPS230 Operational Risk Program at Westpac since May 2024. Ebeling has been a member of the ISO Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Committee since December 2016, contributing to national and international standards in this innovative field. Previously, Ebeling had a distinguished career at IBM from January 1989 to January 2024, where roles included Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for the financial services industry, Architect Profession Leader for the Asia Pacific region, and various positions focusing on technical strategy and client consulting. Ebeling holds a Graduate Certificate in Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney.
