James E. Lieber

James Lieber is a consultant based in Paris with more than 20 years of experience in the strategic management of complex international projects and situations for multi-national corporations, investment funds, organizations and high net-worth individuals in Europe and the United States.

Prior to founding Lieber Strategies, Mr. Lieber served from 1997 to 2004 as Director of Corporate Affairs at LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.

From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Lieber was a lawyer at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York and Paris.

From 2004 to 2014, he was a director of Cheyne Capital Holdings Limited and each of its hedge funds, with US$6 billion total under management.

Mr. Lieber holds a J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, an M.P.P. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. with honors from Wesleyan University.
