David Watson

David Watson is a Senior Investment Specialist at STANLIB since February 2021, with prior experience as an Investment Specialist at PSG Asset Management from January 2017 to January 2021 and a Fund Specialist role at Sanlam Investments in June 2016. David participated in a vacation program at Sanlam Investments, designed to provide exposure to the financial services industry. Academically, David obtained an Honours degree in Financial Analysis with a focus on Investments and Portfolio Management from Stellenbosch University in 2016, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Investments and Financial Management from the same institution in 2015. Additional qualifications include completing the 1st Level Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5) at Moonstone Business School and participating in a summer course at KU Leuven focused on Business with Europe and Innovation. David further enhanced management skills through the Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School from June to November 2022.
