Grant McGilvray

Grant McGilvray, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Operational Governance and Head of Financial Risk at STANLIB since July 2019. Prior to this role, Grant held the position of Head of Finance at Novare Capital for a brief period in early 2019 and served as Senior Financial Manager at Nedgroup Investments from March 2008 to December 2018, where Grant also started as an Accountant. Earlier experience includes working as a Financial Accountant at Sybaweb Internet & Networking and a Trainee Accountant at MGI Bass Gordon. Grant began the professional journey as a Research Assistant at the University of Cape Town. Academic qualifications include an MBA with Distinction from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, a Cum Laude PGDip in Financial Planning from Stellenbosch University, and a BBusSc (Finance) (Hons) from the University of Cape Town. Grant has also completed the CFA level 3 exam and pursued non-degree studies in Auditing, Tax, and Financial Accounting at the University of South Africa.
