Jonathan Wood

Jonathan Wood currently serves as Managing Director of Cicada Solar, a Zimbabwean renewable energy company focused on the commercial and industrial solar sector. With extensive experience in finance and project management, Jonathan holds several non-executive positions including Director at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe, Non-Exec Member of the Investment Committee at Verdure Fund—which specializes in renewable energy financing in South Africa—and Non-Exec Member of the Credit Committee at Stanlib Private Credit. Jonathan's previous roles include Head of Corporate Finance and Renewables at Rift Valley Corporation, Global Head of Project Finance at Standard Bank, and various leadership positions at Barclays Bank and Kleinwort Hambros, where expertise in renewable energy projects was developed. Jonathan holds an MSc in Corporate and International Finance from Durham University, alongside degrees in Economics from the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University.
