Al Strang

Al Strang, P. Eng., is a Senior Associate and Renewables Sector Lead at Stantec, with over 35 years of experience in renewable energy environmental assessment and permitting. Previously, they managed environmental affairs at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper for over two decades and contributed significantly to the environmental assessment of BC Hydro's Site C Clean Energy Project. They have also consulted for various clients in the renewable energy sector, including Tlingit Homeland Energy and Yukon Energy Corp. Al holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and possesses certifications as an Envision Sustainability Professional and ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor. Al is committed to fostering strong relationships with community members and stakeholders while working on the traditional, unceded territory of the shíshálh and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nations.
