Ashley Bennett

Principal Economist

Ashley Bennett is a Principal Economist at Stantec, with previous roles as a Senior Economist and Town Planner and Economist. At Stantec, Ashley leads economic impact assessments and contributes to the socio-economic chapters of Environmental Impact Assessments, along with five-stage business cases for significant infrastructure projects. Accomplishments include delivering a Green Book compliant Full Business Case for a major cultural renovation on the Isle of Bute and providing expert funding advice to local authorities in England. Prior experience includes roles at Hive Land & Planning, Arup, and Mott MacDonald, where Ashley focused on economic assessments and evaluations for various infrastructure and Towns Fund projects. Ashley holds a Master’s degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Liverpool, a Master’s in History from The University of Manchester, and a Bachelor's degree in History and American Studies from the University of Leicester.
