Brian McGraw, P.E., FSFPE, is a Principal and Discipline Lead in Fire Protection Engineering at Stantec in Orlando, Florida. They retired as a firefighter and paramedic after serving as a State Fire Marshal with the Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office from 2016 to 2019. Their prior experience includes a role as a Deputy Fire Marshal and Bomb Technician in Arlington County from 2004 to 2016 and work as a Fire Protection Engineer at NASA from 2019 to 2021. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park and an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.
